Options After College

Once I have concluded my studies at college, I have options with regards to my progression later on. Personally, I believe there to be three options, two of which that I am considering, but one that is still worth mentioning for the sake of surveying all options.

The three are as follows;

- University

- Media Work

- Independent Career Pursuits

University

University is the most attractive option for me and the one that I am determined to take, I have received offers from all three universities that I have applied for and am feeling confident about pursuing this pathway. The universities that I have received offers from include Plymouth University, The University of the West of England (Bristol UWE) and Bath Spa University. I believe that this is the most prosperous, engaging and likely option for me.

Media Work

Continuing my media work is the second best idea, however I am much more interested in going to university. However, when taking a look at doing media work, there is plenty of opportunity. Leaving college with an extended diploma would provide me with an array of opportunities that would potentially lead me into some smaller media work, but there is every opportunity that the work could carry me into bigger projects which could blossom my portfolio.

Independent Career Pursuits

The option that I will not be taking is independent career pursuits, however it is worth mentioning such an option. Straying from media work and looking into my own freelance work, offering my services online to bulk out my portfolio and use my available time to develop my skills. However, I will not be investing in this path, as I am far more interested in going to university and furthering my skills in that way.
