Story Structure Task

Today, on the 15th November 2022, myself as well as my class were tasked with putting together a stripped back, theoretical plot for a short film. The short film had to involve a dark room, with a bag full of five objects and the rest would be up to us and our groups of four to five.

The idea that my team came up with was to put it briefly, a situation in which someone had reached a depiction of purgatory and further understood as they assessed their surroundings and joined up the dots, finding that the year was 3103, very far into the future, that they were indeed dead and awaiting their eternal fate.

Above, in descending order, is the sheet of paper on which we projected our ideas and the sheet of paper on which we wrote our rough storyboard.

I had a very minor influence on this piece of work, being one of the less projected voices in my group, however, the idea of purgatory was mine and I took inspiration from "the waiting room" in 'Twin Peaks'.
